September Updates - 360° images, interactivity controls, UI updates
A new component, new interactivity controls and UI updates
The September update to Yo Scenario brings a new 360° image component, new interactivity controls for tooltips, popovers and windows, and UI updates. These updates improve and enhance Yo Scenario making it even more powerful and provide even more options for creating interactive and engaging content.
360° Image Component
The new 360° image component enables you to insert panoramic photos in your content with a viewer that lets you drag and zoom around the image. You can add multiple scenes and hotspots to create immersive activities. See the example below - drag around the image to view the full panorama and press the hotspots to open popovers, show tooltips or go to a new scene. When you've finished press the complete activity button on the bottom right.
Interactivity Controls
We already have the action editor which is great for adding advanced functionality to create clever, complex and immersive activities. Now we also have the interactivity controls which enable you to easily show tooltips, popovers and windows when a component is pressed, hovered or double clicked. To get started simply select a component in the editor then press the Add
button in the Interactivity
controls on the component settings menu. This will bring up a dropdown with options for tooltip, popover or window. To add a tooltip select the tooltip option then enter the text you'd like to show in the tooltip. For popovers you will be shown the popover builder form with options for a title, content, media, audio and triggers. For windows you will be shown templates to choose from after which you can edit the content as required.
You can style up tooltips and popovers in the scenario style editor. We're really excited to see what you can do with these new controls and it makes it easier than ever to add interactive components to your scenarios and activities.
UI Updates
You may notice things look a little different here and there as we have done some work to improve the UI and UX. We think this offers a great improvement in the overall usability of Yo Scenario and hope it makes it more enjoyable to build you activities and scenarios. If you have any feedback we'd love to hear it.
