Chatting to a pirate

We've updated the chat component and added two new formats to give you more control in creating great activities in your scenarios.

We've created two great chat formats for you to enhance your branching conversations within your branching scenarios. These two new formats are called Fluid and Messenger.

Fluid​

The fluid chat format lets you choose an avatar image and setup chat stems as usual but gives you the ability to place the avatar and speech bubble exactly where you want within the component. To activate the edit layout mode press the Edit Layout button (shown below) then you can drag the image and the speech bubble exactly where you want them. Edit chat layout

This is a great format for use in branching scenarios and games such as the Pirates! game. You can see an example chat from the game below.

Messenger​

The messenger format lets you create a branching conversation in a web based chat format. This is great for simulating customer service chats or employee / manager conversations. As with all chat formats you can use the action editor to perform actions when certain chat stems are chosen. See below for a simple example chat using the messenger format.
